* Age Friendly Community - Department for Communities grant towards a Denmark WA, Age Friendly Community strategy - $8,000 - July 2010

·         Great Southern Aboriginal Health Plan COAG, ‘Closing the Gap’ National Partnerships Agreement submission January 2010 – workshop facilitation, research and writing final submission. $4,255,697

·         National Secondary School Computer Fund Round grant - $36,000 for Denmark WA College of Agriculture through federal Digital Revolution Education Program (2008)

 ·         Foundation for Rural, Regional Renewal (FRRR) grants for Back to School vouchers for low income students/families in conjunction with the Sidney Myer Foundation (2008, 2009 and 2010) $10,000 over 3 years 

·         Southern AgCare ICT and communications LotteryWest grant - $46,872 (2008) produced the Southern AgCare Communications and IT Plan (2008)

 ·         Regional Development Initiative grant (GSDC) to set up the Denmark Community’s Future Fund - $32,000 (2007)  ·         National School Chaplaincy Program 2007 - $186,000 over 3 years for the Denmark High School, Denmark Primary and Agricultural College to employ school chaplains.   ·         Department of Health and Ageing, Broadband for Health Managed Health Networks Grants – Great Southern Division of General Practice ($1.5 million approx) – 2007  ·         Local Community Partnerships grant submission to DEST for the Great Southern Employment Development Committee (August 2005) for $186,206 to progress Career & Transition and Structured Workplace Learning initiatives throughout the region.

 ·         Principal grant writer for the Nathan Drew Memorial Trust’s Coastal Safety Innovations and Industry initiative in Albany. Creation of major submissions to state and federal agencies for project funding to develop a geographical information system and safety devices to save lives off our coasts. $104,000 of WA State funding and $15,000 of Regional Development Scheme funding successfully sourced to date (2004)   ·         Development of a Business Plan and Research Report for the establishment of Rural Transaction Centres (RTCs) in four local Albany Shire towns. This was commissioned by the Albany City Council and involved extensive community consultation, policy guidelines creation and research as part of the process. Wellstead and Young’s Siding RTCs successfully funded. (November 2000). 

 ·         Creation of a Business/Strategic Plan and funding applications for the Wellstead Community Resource Centre Committee. (January 2001) This was to assist the Wellstead community in building a facility to house a Telecentre, Library and Rural Transaction Centre, providing the community with access to new technologies and service acquisition.   ·         Contracted by the Department of Commerce and Trade’s Office of Information and Communication to write a generic Request for Proposal (RFP and RFQ) document, to assist regional portal committees in defining and employing the best practice principles in community ICT and web development projects. (February 2001)  ·         Wrote successful Networking the Nation grant application for continuation of Albany GateWAy’s community based web training and portal activities. $100,000 successfully funded.(2001-2002)

UPDATE -  SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS TO DATE:

1 < 2 > 1 (One-To-One) Community Technology and Education Consultancy has recently secured funding for the Shire of Denmark to progress their Age Friendly Community strategy, been contracted by Murdoch University as Communications and Dissemination manager for the ‘Narratives for Healing’ project; written and facilitated the Great Southern Aborignal Health Plan (COAG) and consulted to both Broodmare Enterprises and the Denmark Liquor Store and Regional Wine Centre for a range of services, including the creation of online staff induction programs, writing of reports and publications and grant writing for major funds to produce online educational and training packages. Dr.Gill has also assisted a number of community groups to gain funds for small projects e.g. sporting groups, philanthropic organisations.
